Services for Patients who are not Registered with us

We offer a range of services for people who are registered with other GP practices but who, for some reason, cannot see their own GP when they want to. You will need to book an appointment in advance (01793 541655), unless you attend the Walk-in Service (see Walk-in Services section).

We will always try to help, but there may be times when we will not be able to treat you if you are not one of our own “registered” patients. For instance, this could happen if you have a serious illness or are already being treated for a long-term condition. In this case, we would need to see your medical notes if we are to treat you safely and as your own GP holds these, you may need to go back to your own practice.

You can book in for a Hepatitis B Vaccination for occupational health or travel purposes, and for a BCG before travel (see Travel Advice).

You can also have a private flu vaccination with us.

All our NHS services are free, but there are charges for certain non-NHS services (see Patient Charges).

Blood Tests

You need to be referred first. Blood tests are carried out by our healthcare assistants, Monday to Friday, 7 am to 12 noon. Just walk in – no need to book.

TB Services in Swindon

Carfax Health Enterprise now has the contract for managing TB services in Swindon, working closely with secondary care specialists and others. It involves screening of new migrants to Swindon from high risk countries, tracing friends and relatives here who may have been exposed to infection, and supporting patients throughout their treatment, from early diagnosis onwards.

Carfax will also be aiming to raise awareness of TB among professionals and the public.
