About the Company

Carfax Health Enterprise is a community interest company, run for the benefit of its patients. We formed in 2009 following a breakaway from the local NHS and run 3 GP practices for around 23,000 registered patients.

Our patients come from many different countries and cultural backgrounds, and some of our team speak several languages including Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Tamil and Konkani.

Some of our patients have very specific problems and we run specialist clinics for people who need counselling, and those suffering from mental illness or drug misuse. We also have special services for homeless people and have developed some expertise in helping this group of patients.

Our aim is to treat every patient as an individual and try to meet their needs.

We have a small board of directors, who have all worked for many years in mainstream NHS services.

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (eg average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working for Carfax Health Enterprise at Carfax NHS Medical Centre and Sparcells Surgery in the last financial year was £34,389 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 2 full time GPs, 7 part time GPs and 8 locum GPs who worked in the practices for more than six months.
