Self Check in Appointments for Registered Patients

Routine Appointments

We offer 15-minute booked appointments with both doctors and nurses throughout the day, Monday to Friday. If you would like to see either a male or female doctor or nurse, do please ask when you book and we will do our best to arrange it.

If you want to talk about more than one problem, please let the receptionist know. You will probably need a double appointment.

For routine appointments you can send us a fax to 01793 546045 telling us what you want and when and we will then contact you to arrange a date and time.

Extended Hours Appointments

Appointments from 6.30 to 8.00 pm are available at Carfax NHS Medical Centre, bookable in the usual way.

Emergency Appointments

For an emergency appointment, please ring first thing in the morning. Reception is open from 8 am on weekdays. We will ask you for your telephone number and someone will call you back.

Telephone Appointments

If you just want to speak to a doctor or nurse rather than coming in to see someone, we can arrange a telephone appointment. However we cannot always tell you the exact time the doctor or nurse will call you back.

Home Visits

These are for registered patients who cannot get in to the surgery because of illness, disability or their age. If you need a home visit, please ring us before 10.30 am if possible.

Cancelling Appointments

If you need to cancel your appointment please try and call us before your actual appointment time so someone else in urgent need can take your slot. Missed appointments mean everyone else has to wait longer for their appointment. If you fail to turn up for an appointment, we may send you a warning letter. If you are a registered patient and continue to miss appointments, without letting us know beforehand, you will be asked to register with another GP practice.
